HAVE YOUR SAY
The Bute House Patients Participation Group, PPG, is your voice in the practice.
Established several years ago the group meets regularly to share with the Practice Management Team information on a wide range of issues, including;
In October more than 480 patients attended the annual flu clinic, with another scheduled for November 17th. The PPG were in attendance supporting the practice team.
For many Carers they are the forgotten part of the primary care service in our community. We wish to ensure they are never forgotten and we want to hear from carers about their challenges and offer advice on the range of services available to them through the Practice.
The ever-growing elderly population across the UK brings with it many clinical challenges. Dementia is one illness we cannot ignore. The Bute House team has completed extensive Dementia Awareness training. In addition your PPG is an active member of the Sherborne Dementia Alliance. The role of the Alliance is to ensure the public, and patient awareness of the symptoms and treatment services available within our community.
Healthy walks around Sherborne
A new activity for 2018 will be Healthy Walks. Based from the surgery a small group of patients, led by qualified guides, will take sort walks, about an hour, around the town as part of the ongoing commitment by Bute House Surgery to improve the health and lifestyle of its patients.
Since the introduction almost 2000 patients regularly use the online service to make appointments and re-order prescriptions. To register for this service please phone the surgery.
If you’d like to get involved or know more about PPG activities please email Butehouse.firstname.lastname@example.org or enquire at Reception.
The surgery email a Practice Newsletter and other relevant news & information to all our patients who provide us an email address. If you wish to opt out of these communications you can simply request to be unsubscribed at any time.
