You can make appointments in person or by phone with any member of the practice team. It is possible to book GP appointments and order repeat prescriptions securely and confidentially on line using this website. We cannot at this time offer Nursing appointments on-line these still have to be booked at Reception either by phone or in person.
We try to balance our appointments for those that need to plan ahead due to travel or work arrangements and those that need to be seen immediately. Approximately half the appointments are only bookable on the day. On rare occasions when all appointments are taken, we will still see you if your condition is considered to be an emergency.
To make a telephone appointment, please call the Surgery Reception number - 01935 810900.
If you cannot keep your appointment, please ring to let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else.
The Receptionists are here to help you, whether by making appointments to see a clinician or advising on administration problems.
If they cannot answer a query they will endeavour to find someone who can. We place a high value on confidentiality and this is always maintained at the highest level by all our staff.
Blood / Radiology Results
Pathology: Blood tests are processed in Dorchester and the results returned to the doctor. If there is an abnormality that needs to be addressed, and you do not already have follow-up arranged, then you will be called by surgery staff. However, if you would like to ring for results, please phone 01935 810900 between 1400 and 1700 hrs leaving 5 working days from the submission of your specimen.
Radiology: (X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT or MRI) reports can sometimes take several weeks to return. Plans for follow-up should be made with the doctor who organises the investigation.
If you had your test in hospital or at an outpatient clinic, it is the responsibility of the doctor or nurse who ordered the tests to arrange appropriate follow-up for the results.
